Try Fluconazole 150 mg If You Need a Strong Antifungal Medicine

There are many medicines out there that are extremely helpful to humans, and one of them belongs to a group of drugs called antifungals.  At certain points of our lives, we may need such medications to help us get rid of fungi-causing ailments that make us suffer and make our lives miserable, especially if that particular condition worsens.

Fluconazole 150 mg is part of the first-gen triazole antifungal medicines.  It is slightly different from the other azole antifungals like ketoconazole – instead of an imidazole ring, it has a triazole ring in its molecular structure.  Most imidazole antifungal medicines are used topically (applied externally), whereas fluconazole 150 mg and other triazole antifungals are more effective when it is given to the patient orally (swallowed or by mouth).  Also, fluconazole 150 mg is deemed to be more effective due to its improved safety level and its absorption within the body is very predictable.

Fluconazole 150 mg covers most of the Candida species, some dimorphic fungi organisms, dermatophytes, Cryptococcus neoformans, and many more.  The most common medical uses of fluconazole 150 mg include the following:

  • Fluconazole 150 mg is used mostly as a first-line treatment of non-systemic infections caused by Candida species that are located in the throat, mouth and vagina (vaginal yeast infection).
  • Fluconazole 150 mg is used also to help prevent Candida infections from occurring in patients who happen to have weakened immune systems.  Some examples of patients with weak immune systems include transplant patients, premature babies, patients with advanced infections of HIV, and those who have become neutropenic because of their cancer chemotherapy.
  • Fluconazole 150 mg is also a good medicine for people who have systemic Candida infections but have otherwise healthy immune systems, which include infections in the joints, bloodstream or kidney.  Your doctor may prescribe you a different antifungal if the infection involves the central nervous system or the heart.
  • Fluconazole 150 mg can also be used as a second-line agent for treating the infection involving the central nervous system called cryptococcal meningoencephalitis.
  • Fluconazole 150 mg is also a good prophylactic agent.  In patients who are undergoing transplant of the bone marrow (and received radiation therapy and/or cytotoxic chemotherapy), fluconazole 150 mg has shown to help lower the incidence of Candidiasis infections from occurring on such transplant patients.

Buying Diflucan Over the Counter and Online – What’s the Difference?

When our doctor prescribes us some medications, our first step is to immediately rush into the closest pharmacy and will do what it takes to get the safest and effective drug available. We even pay attention to the color of the tablet, the packaging as well as the brand name which should be exactly as what the medicine the doctor has shown us to take. However, the effectiveness of the drug does not sole depend on how it looks as well as the brand name. Even the price is not a factor of how effective it is – and the cheaper a drug is, the less effective. This wrong misconception has driven a lot of people to trust only branded medications sold over the counter. However, in this article we will try our best to give you a clear and honest information so that the next time you buy your medicines, you will know what are the most important factors you need to consider rather than the physical looks and cost of the drug.

Diflucan has been recognized as the most effective treatment against any forms of fungi infection. When you are prescribed to take diflucan, it means that you might be having a fungus at a particular part of your body and you need to get rid of them in order to get you back to your normal healthy life. Sometimes, however, we choose the expensive versions of diflucan over the counter because we think it is safer. Yes indeed it is safe to buy diflucan over the counter, but buying diflucan online does not make it less safe. (more…)
