Oxfam International
Oxfam International, founded in 1995, is a confederation of 12 independent organisations working together with over 3,000 partners in more than 100 countries to find lasting solutions to poverty, suffering and injustice.

The 12 Oxfam organisations are based in: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Quebec, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Ireland, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain and the United States. Oxfam has an International secretariat based in Oxford, UK, and the secretariat runs advocacy offices in Washington DC, New York, Brussels and Geneva.

Oxfam's current campaigns include "patents and access to medicines" (formerly "Cut the Cost"), as part of the larger "Make Trade Fair" campaign calling on governments, institutions, and multinational companies to change the rules so that trade can become part of the solution to poverty, not part of the problem.
