Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) International
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, is an international network with sections in 19 countries. MSF was founded in 1971 as a nonprofit independent humanitarian aid organisation to both provide emergency medical assistance and bear witness publicly to the plight of the people it assists. MSF is committed to two objectives: providing medical aid wherever needed, regardless of race religion, politics or sex and raising awareness of the plight of the people MSF helps.

MSF has offices in 18 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United status. In addition, MSF has an international office in Geneva, an Access to Essential Medicines Campaign office in Geneva, and two UN liasion offices, one in Geneva and one in New York City, and a small office in the United Arab Emirates.

Through its Campaign for Access to Essential Medicines, MSF is advocating to lower drug prices, stimulate research and development of new treatments, and overcome trade and other barriers to accessing treatments.
