Institute for Democracy in South Africa (IDASA)
Idasa is an independent public interest organisation committed to promoting sustainable democracy in South Africa and elsewhere by building democratic institutions, educating citizens and advocating social justice. Founded 1986, Idasa seeks to promote sustainable democracy in South Africa and elsewhere, by building democratic institutions, educating citizens and advocating social justice.

Through its Governance and Aids Programme, as well as the HIV/AIDS Budget Unit, IDASA Works to grasp the full implications of HIV/AIDS for democracy in Southern Africa and elsewhere.
